PPG Continues Rapid Growth
Project cargo specialists, Project Professionals Group, is proving to be the fastest growing logistics management network of its kind with 99 office locations around the world in only six months.
PPG‘s General-Manager Kevin Stephens said appointments in December, 2007, of representatives in South America and Asia brought membership up to 96 and completed a totally global solution for clients, particularly for the transportation of heavy-lift and over-dimensional cargo. “The establishment of the Project Professionals Group was primarily because small to medium-size firms wanted strong partnerships that could deliver cost-effective supply chain solutions, particularly showcasing to clients that they offered a track-record of success and unique expertise,“ Mr Stephens said. “The rapid growth of the Project Professionals Group highlights the interest in being part of a formalised, integrated platform that aims to better service growing international demand.” December members included heavy-lift South American specialists SOLOT (Soluciones de Logistica y Transporte S.A.) based in Argentina, Peru and Chile. Freight Links International, founded in 1992, also joined PPG and is one of Sri Lanka's and The Maldives leading logistics providers. They are the largest ocean freight forwarder in Sri Lanka with over 275 staff and their own modern fleet of 50 x 20ft/40ft trucks. Freight Links is the first Sri Lankan Freight Forwarder to be certified for compliance with ISO standards. Mr Stephens also announced the appointment of new member for South Korea, in Woojin Global Logistics. Woojin Global Logistics is one of Korea’s leading project forwarding and logistics companies.
