PPG Named as Finalists in Training and Education Awards

PPG has its own International Project Forwarding Education Program, with the first Course conducted in Mumbai in January 2009 and the second in Bremen in October 2009. The third course is scheduled for Singapore in January 2010. The PPG Training Course has been named as a finalist in the 14th Annual Lloyd’s List DCN Australian Shipping and Transport Awards will take place at the Sofitel Wentworth Sydney on the 26th November 2009 and the Supply Chain & Logistics Association annual education and training awards which will take place at Eureka Tower in Melbourne on 12 November.

These prestigious awards have cemented their position as the must attend event for the movers and shakers within the Australian shipping and transport industry. Fourteen awards will be presented to the organisations and individuals who have excelled in their individual or corporate performance. The awards are to be presented to the company or institution or organisation with the best proven record in training either recruits, young staff or established staff for work in the international trade and transport sectors. The award may go to a public educational establishment or a commercial or in-house training scheme.

The ongoing aim of PPG is to develop personnel in all aspects within the specialised field of global project forwarding. In order to develop, course participants we collaborate across sectors and cultures to seek the most appropriate solutions for specific projects. The Accredited PPG Program has at its disposal all the knowledge and human resources of all members of the organisation, which includes some of the most experienced project forwarders in the world. This is a wonderful achievement and one of which we are extremely proud. This year's awards saw a particularly strong field of entries across all categories with the shipping and transport industry eager to draw attention to the exceptional achievement and innovation in areas such as environmental protection, health and safety, training and education, security and logistics.
