PPG Vietnam Export 445 Tonnes Over-Sized Steel Structures

PPG Vietnam, Vantage Logistics, successfully concluded an export shipment of 445 tonnes Steel Structures in Early September from HCMC Port for a global EPC contractor. The project went smoothly despite Vietnam's current poor infrastructure conditions (muddy roads, lack of port equipment etc).  vl1.jpg
vl2.jpg   All 38 over-sized packages were expertly handled by Vantage's experienced staff in a safe and reliable manner, with added cost saving solutions for the client. The overall tonnage comprised 38 packages totaling 445 tonnes/2,320 cbm. The longest unit was 17m, widest 5m, highest 4m, heaviest 36 tonnes.
vl3.jpg   The Vantage Team was only afforded one night to load all 38 pkgs under extremely tight deadlines, coupled with road transport restrictions. Heavy rain conditions did not assist this task making the roads muddy and difficult to maintain balanced loads for over-sized trucks.
vl4.jpg   Due to restrictive travel, Vanatage had to stage empty trucks to the manufacturer's facility during daytime hours for loading and subsequent night time transport. The small manufacturer's yard did not allow for all 38 packages to be loaded at the same time, so three separate shifts were arranged to a staging area for transfer to the Port.
vl5.jpg   Similar space and severe port congestion and lack of port equipment resulted in a similar problem which required typical Vantage innovation to overcome. Vantage staff are therefore proud of their achievement, as they worked in a diligent and dedicated manner, under difficult conditions, to ensure that the project was completed on time and on budget.
