The Board of Directors, by delegation of the General Assembly, has recently appointed Mr. Jaber Bringas (Sparber Líneas Marítimas, S.A. and PPG member for Spain) as new chairman of UniportBilbao/Port Community. Jaber Bringas replaces Óscar Santisteban who leaves the Association after his second term of four years.

ALLFORT Co., PPG member for Japan, have successfully concluded the shipment of a heavy railroad “Multiple Tie Tamper” vehicle (179 M3 / 55 tonnes). The vehicle is named “Profile ballast Machine Plasser & Theurer” and was barged alongside B.B. vessel’s berth at Yokohama port for loading and delivery to final destination of Port Kelang, Malaysia. The departure date was 26 Dec, 2016 from Yokohama, with cargo arriving Port Kelang Port 17 Jan, 2017 via Singapore port safely, on time and on budget
A Pinpoint delivery within the required deadline of 4 engines (each 146 tonnes) and components from Mokpo up to DAP Kawasaki Heavy Ind., in Sakaide, Japan, has been successfully completed. The project was successfully concluded by Shin Jo Lojitech (SJL) who also managed the schedule of a full charter vessel to meet strict discharge dates at KHI without any detention and/or demurrage at both ends. Additionally, SJL also arranged for a shore crane for loading and lashing on the vessel at Mokpo port.
On 17th November 2016, Almajdouie Logistics Company (MLC) planned, executed and managed the complex move of a retired MD90 aircraft from Jeddah International Airport to Riyadh.
In collaboration with the Saudi Arabia Airlines, MLC technicians and engineers; specialising in the field of heavy transport, designed the transportation plan for its final destination at the Saudi Special Forces Training Centre.
Monday 21st November, 2016 - PPG has successfully completed its seventh annual surveillance audit of its international quality management standard. The audit was conducted by SAI Global and zero non-conformances were identified. With this audit and the ISO 9001:2008 certification is continued for another three years under PPG's reviewed tri-annual audit scheme. PPG is now in the process of updating to the new ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Requirements.

Global Freight Solutions, PPG member in Sweden, have successful moved 9 large wind turbines totaling 6,800 tons and 39,000 cbm from the north Swedish port Skelleftehamn to the greatest windmill park in the mountain area in Sweden called Storblaiken, a distance one way of 240 km. The blades had a length of 54 meters and the heaviest pieces had a gross weight of 70 tons.Components included Towers, Nacelles, Rotor blades, Hubs and Transformers.
