Time constraints meant the arrival at the port of Rio de Janeiro coincided with the Rio de Janeiro Carnival period and thanks to the high standard of assistance from the CTO team, the item was successfully delivered to the importers plant safely, on time and within budget.

The shipment comprised 17 x 40` HC & 3 x 40` FR of new machinery (including one machine over 4m wide & 4m high) from Hamburg to Kobe. The scope of works included pre-road surveys, road permits, Terminal operation (un-crating, loading on trailer) and delivery to final rural destination.

Vestas is partnering with the Port of Portland to move wind turbine tower sections through Terminal 6. The sections for approximately 50 towers will be used on a wind project in Eastern Oregon. The final sections are also moving through Terminal 6.
